Survey and Question Forms

TÜSSİDE frequently uses survey and question forms methods in its research and consultancy projects.

Question forms: It is a quantitative data collection technique that aims to reach generalizations and numerical data on a certain subject with deduction approaches that can be prepared in two question types as open ended and close ended questions.

In the close ended questions, there are certain answers for the certain questions determined by researcher and participant must chose among these answering options. Answering options should be made of categories which don't include each other and are comprehensive.

In the open ended questions, participants give their own answers. These questions are the question types when more detailed answers are wanted to receive in the pilot applications of quantitative researches or when researchers are not sure about the categories.
