Institute Director

Tezer Battal received his B.Sc. from Middle East Technical University, and M.Sc.s from Istanbul Technical University and New Mexico Tech, USA respectively. Between 1997 and 2000, he was awarded a Ph.D. scholarship funded by the US Department of Energy. During his academic studies, he had the opportunity to collaborate with prominent scientists and researchers in Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico and California. Between 2001 and 2012, he worked in semiconductor and medical equipment manufacturing industries in Arizona and Virginia at different corporate levels. After his return to Turkey in 2012, he was appointed as the CEO of TÜBİTAK Technopark, MARTEK and worked as Executive Director in the Energy sector. He has been TÜSSİDE Chairman and Managing Director since 2014.
