SANKO University’s Hospital Change Management Project Completed

SANKO University commissioned TÜSSİDE health economics and management researchers to guide the transformation of Gaziantep Sani Konukoğlu Hospital to the newly established SANKO University’s teaching and research hospital.  The project consisted of an overall assessment of the current general hospital against national and international academic hospital standards in order to develop a roadmap for the hospital’s transformation to a successful academic hospital.  In addition to the on-site hospital analysis, the team conducted a survey of hospital employees to assess their readiness for change and conducted workshops with hospital and university employees to best identify the opportunities and barriers to change.  Finally, change management training was provided to hospital and university managers to provide them with the knowledge and skills they will need to guide the organization through the changes that the new university-hospital relationship will require.
