GAP Region to Increase Entrepreneurship and Innovation Capacity with TÜSSİDE

"Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Project" was signed between the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) Regional Development Administration and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE on October 12, 2017 in order to analyze the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, current situation and potential development areas in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, to put forward strategic road maps in accordance with the results of the analysis, to increase the innovation and entrepreneurship capacity, competitiveness and income level of the Region with the project outputs and to support sustainable development.

Within the scope of the project to be carried out by TÜSSİDE, the entrepreneurship-innovation infrastructure of the organized industrial zones and small industrial sites, technology development zones, business development centers, universities and technology transfer offices in the region will be analyzed and a comparative analysis of the entrepreneurship and business cultures of SMEs in the provinces of the region with SMEs in Kayseri, Konya, Çorum and Denizli will be carried out. In the project consisting of 4 main work packages, needs will be identified through field interviews, surveys and workshops, and strategic road maps for the innovation ecosystem of the GAP Region will be put forward based on these needs.

The inaugural meeting will be held in Şanlıurfa next November and the project is expected to be completed in 14 months and will end in December 2018.
