The vision of the Entrepreneurship Council, which was established with the aim of creating and implementing strategies for the development of entrepreneurship in Turkey, was introduced at the launch meeting on January 4, 2012.
The Council, which will be chaired by Mr. Nihat ERGÜN, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology. The Council, which will be chaired by Mr. Nihat ERGÜN, the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, has complemented its tasks and goals for the development of entrepreneurship in the medium and long term with an "Entrepreneurship Council Manifesto".
In the manifesto of the Entrepreneurship Council; providing a faster functioning and an effective business environment for our country's entrepreneurs, the ideal of making Turkey one of the world's largest economic powers, determining new strategies for an entrepreneur-friendly ecosystem, disseminating entrepreneurship culture, facilitating access of entrepreneur candidates to information and financial resources, developing communication networks, Eco-entrepreneurship, The importance of objectives such as supporting entrepreneurship in thematic areas such as social entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, innovative entrepreneurship, youth entrepreneurship and women's entrepreneurship, directing entrepreneurs to export and ensuring that they gain international competitiveness in world markets, improving communication, information, research and data collection environments on entrepreneurship to advanced standards were emphasized.
With the formation of the Entrepreneurship Council, 32 organizations will be integrated in line with entrepreneurship services and goals. The secretariat services of the Council will be provided by the KOSGEB Administration.
Mr. Nihat ERGÜN, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat ERGÜN, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, in his speech before the signing ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Council, stated that they took an important decision at the Supreme Council of Science and Technology on December 27, 2011, and noted the following:
"We will now create entrepreneurial and innovative university indices for universities and start measuring the performance of our universities in these areas. How many entrepreneurs, how many patents have come out of the university? How many of them have been licensed? How many of them have been commercialized for industry? These will be new criteria. The Entrepreneurship Council established today will prepare actions to solve the financing of entrepreneurs, facilitate access to domestic and foreign financial resources, and develop alternative financial instruments such as venture capital funds and business angels."
