GAP Region Will Increase Its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Capacity with TÜSSİDE

Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) Regional Development Administration and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE on 12 October 2017 to analyze the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, current situation and potential development areas in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, to present strategic road maps in accordance with the analysis results, to present the project outputs and the Region's "Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Project" was signed in order to increase Turkey's innovation and entrepreneurship capacity, competitiveness and income level and to support sustainable development.

Within the scope of the project to be carried out by TÜSSİDE, the entrepreneurship-innovation infrastructure of organized industrial zones and small industrial sites, technology development zones, business development centers, universities and technology transfer offices in the region will be analyzed and also the entrepreneurship and business cultures of SMEs in the provinces of the region such as Kayseri, Konya, Çorum and A comparative analysis was carried out with SMEs in Denizli. In the project, which consists of 4 main work packages, needs will be determined through field interviews, surveys and workshops, and strategic road maps for the innovation ecosystem of the GAP Region will be put forward based on these needs.

The project, whose opening meeting will be held in Şanlıurfa next November, is aimed to be completed within a period of 14 months and end in December 2018.
