A training program was designed by TÜSSİDE with the consultancy of HEC with the aim of developing cooperation and solidarity between the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC Pakistan) and the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK), evaluating the global trends in the higher education ecosystem, sharing the role of the Turkish Council of Higher Education in the development of universities in our country, transferring good practices in Turkey in the axis of university-industry cooperation and understanding the impact of universities on innovation concepts.
21 senior executives from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan participated in the program held at TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE between 29 October - 05 November 2016. Within the scope of the program, 3 main topics were shared;
- Good practices and quality assurance systems in higher education (with comparisons of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and YÖK) - YÖK Vice President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and YÖK Member Prof. Dr. Tuncay DÖĞEROĞLU,
- Research ecosystem in Turkey - ARDEB and ULAKBIM directors Prof. Dr. Zafer EVİS and Mehmet Mirat SATOĞLU and experts in charge
- University-Industry cooperation - given by Prof. Dr. Mesut Güner, member of the Board of Directors of Yıldız Technopark.
Visits to Sabancı University and Yildiz Technical University were organized to support theoretical exchanges on topics such as University-Industry cooperation, Technoparks, Quality systems, etc., and participants were also able to see Turkish universities on site.
