Climate Change was discussed with local representatives in Edirne.

The first step of the "Project for Raising Awareness on the Effects of Climate Change and Adaptation to Climate Change", carried out jointly by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of Environmental Management and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, was taken with the Workshop held in Edirne on November 1.

Workshop, Edirne Deputy Governor. Mustafa Ergün, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Edirne Provincial Branch Manager Sami Öztürk and engineers, expert personnel, academicians and local representatives from many other public institutions and organizations.

The main purpose of the Workshops, which will be held in the provinces of Izmir, Trabzon and Konya, is to identify the effects of climate change felt by local authorities, academics, NGOs and students in their geographical regions, to identify regional priority areas and to receive their suggestions.

The project will continue with workshops to be held in Izmir on 15 November, Trabzon on 29 November and Konya on 6 December.
