TÜSSİDE Health Economics and Management R&D unit was accepted to EUnetHTA, the most effective HTA (Health Technology Assessment) network in Europe.
EUnetHTA is an organization that aims to improve HTA by producing transferable, reliable and transparent information between European countries. EUnetHTA, which provides cooperation between HTA organizations all over Europe, carries out regional and national studies on issues such as managing the effective use of limited resources to create value in health services with HTA, creating a sustainable system that enables information sharing on HTA, providing an independent and science-based platform for member countries, and supporting good HTA examples and processes.
The EUnetHTA strategic partnership is very important in order to cooperate with other member countries such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, to strengthen the implementation of HTA tools and approaches, and to benefit from the past experiences of the countries in determining the strategies and principles that need to be developed to build the HTA system in Turkey correctly.
In this sense, a partnership between TÜSSİDE and EUnetHTA was initiated in September 2014. Within the scope of the partnership, the first studies in which TÜSSİDE will take part are;
- Capacity building of personnel to implement HTA in Turkey,
- To ensure coordination between institutions and individuals implementing HTA
- To start and complete core HTA studies by identifying topics that require priority analysis for Turkey,
- To test the HTA infrastructure that is being established by implementing pilot HTA models,
- Test HTA studies, monitor and evaluate their impact,
- EUnetHTA aims to make improvements in HTA processes by sharing information with its partners.
