TÜSSİDE Director Tezer Battal and Transportation and Logistics Management Research Group participated in the "Measurement of Domestic Contribution Share in the Informatics Sector" Panel organized with the support of TÜSSİDE at Teknopark Istanbul. In the panel, the methods and techniques to be developed for measuring the localization rate in the field of software and informatics were discussed. In the panel where universities, industry, public and non-governmental organizations took the floor, the experiences of different areas of expertise and what can be done for Turkey in this field were discussed.
The opening speeches of the panel were delivered by İsmail Arı, General Manager of Teknopark Istanbul, and Hakan Altınay from the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. In the "Software Sector General Evaluation and Local Contribution Rates" session chaired by Tezer Battal, Cemil Sağıroğlu (TÜBİTAK - BİLGEM YTE), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Çancı (Okan University), Abdül Halim Zaim (Istanbul Commerce University) and Mustafa Kayer (YASAD) took the floor as panelists.
Prof. Dr. Metin Türkay chaired the session titled "Local Contribution Measurement Methods". In this session, Ahmet Bilgen (FIT Solutions), Dr. Cüneyd Fırat (C-Tech), Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Ergen (MiSONE A.Ş.) and Hikmet Kangal (SSM) shared their views with the participants as panelists.
