The "Filli Boya Winter Science Camps" organized by Filli Boya, the Ministry of Family and Social Policies (ASPB) and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE came to an end. The camps, each with 25 students, were held at TÜSSİDE between January 25-29 and February 1-5, 2016.

As a continuation of the summer camps, this time our students visited the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology, the Institute of Food and the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences, and conducted workshops with researchers. Let's Get to Know DNA, The World of Stones, Model Airplane Making, Motion and Friction, Software and Chemistry Workshops are examples of the activities carried out. İzmit Science Center and Seismological Monitoring Earthquake Education Center were also visited during the program.

The camp also included conversations and workshops with people of science and art who have achieved success in different professions. Kerem Cankoçak, a scientist working at CERN, Kaan Özkan, a philosopher, and Salih Aksu, a technology coach, took part in our camps as volunteers.

The camps, sponsored by Filli Boya and organized in cooperation with ASPB and TÜSSİDE, are expected to continue in the coming years.
