"DOKAP Region Agricultural Research Project Promotion Meeting and Workshop" was held in Giresun on January 11, 2017 in cooperation with TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE and DOKAP Regional Development Administration. Academicians from DOKAP Region universities, Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Provincial Directorates of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Regional Directorates of Forestry, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Commodity Exchange, Regional Development Administrations, Research Institutes, Chambers of Agriculture, Development Agencies, Governorship, Municipalities and representatives from non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.

The meeting started with the opening speeches of Ekrem Yüce, President of DOKAP RDA, Prof. Dr. Vedat Ceyhan, Project Consultant of TÜSSİDE and Vice Rector of Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University, and Prof. Dr. Kürşat Demiryürek, also one of the Project Consultants of TÜSSİDE. In the afternoon session, the participants contributed to the Common Sense Platform® studies moderated by TÜSSİDE for the analysis of the current situation in the region in two separate groups according to their areas of expertise and interest, namely "DOKAP Region Organic Agriculture Basins Determination Research Project Workshop" and "DOKAP Region Agricultural Production and Agro-Industry Investment Potential Research Project Workshop".

The organization, which brought together more than 150 stakeholders from the region and outside the region, ended with the closing speech of Ekrem Yüce, President of DOKAP RDA.
