Field Visits to Obtain Stakeholder Expectations in Kırklareli

Field meetings were held for the R&D Strategy and Road Map to be prepared within the scope of the Regional Development Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project carried out in cooperation with Kırklareli University and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE. In these meetings, the expectations and evaluations of the stakeholders in Kırklareli's food ecosystem regarding the university's food specialization were taken.

Field visits were carried out at two main focal points. The first of these is the producers of vegetable oil, meat and meat products, milk and dairy products, beekeeping products and viticulture products, which are identified as competitive sectors for Kırklareli within the scope of the project. Another focus of the field visits was the representatives of local government, chamber of commerce and industry, development agency and stock exchange, which are among the key stakeholders of regional development.

Field visits were conducted by TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE Chief Researcher Barış Çarıkcı and Senior Researcher Seda Celep on 23-24 February 2021. Vice Rector Prof. representing Kırklareli University attended the visits. Dr. Meryem Çamur, Head of Food Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Hatice Şanlıdere Aloğlu, Teknokent General Manager Lecturer. See. Dr. Selin Özden, Head of Project Development and Coordination Office Lecturer. See. Çiğdem Ovacı Beji and Food Specialization Coordination staff Celil Onur Şendir were present.

Kırklareli Governorship, Kırklareli Municipality, Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Kırklareli Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kırklareli Commodity Exchange, Trakya Development Agency, Ak Gıda San. and Tic. A.Ş, Danone Tikveşli Gıda ve İçecek San. and Tic. A.Ş, Bahçıvan Gıda San. and Tic. A.Ş., Rumeli Hardaliye and SS Hamitabat Village Agricultural Development Cooperative were the institutions and organizations visited.
