Fisheries Coastal Structures Development Roadmap and Governance Model Project has started with the contract signed between TÜSSİDE and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Within the scope of the project, studies will be carried out to analyze the current situation and needs of fishing coastal structures in Turkey, to classify them in line with the policies of equivalent countries and current literature, to establish an effective governance structure and data architecture, to develop operating models and to determine the development roadmap.
With the implementation of the project;
- The current status of all fisheries coastal structures in 28 coastal and 4 inland water provinces in Turkey will be analyzed in detail,
- A detailed data inventory and data architecture of fisheries coastal structures will be established,
- Infrastructure and superstructure needs of buildings will be identified and practical solutions will be developed,
- Investment proposals will be prioritized through a model to be created according to scientific methods and strategic outputs,
- In line with these recommendations, a road map and action plan will be developed for the short, medium and long term,
- Country surveys and field studies will be carried out to classify fishing coastal structures and operational models will be developed for each class,
- A decision model for fishing landing points will be created,
- Turkey's fisheries coastal structures governance model will be established.
