The Health Technology Assessment Meeting was held for the first time this year in Antalya on April 28-29 in cooperation with TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE and the General Directorate of Health Research (SAGEM). SAGEM, Public Hospitals Institution of Turkey, Public Hospital Unions, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency of Turkey, Social Security Institution, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, Undersecretariat of Treasury, universities, private sector and non-governmental organizations participated in the meeting, which was held to effectively evaluate health technologies and review their contribution to the country's health economy. 250 experts from their fields attended the meeting.
On the first day of the meeting, a Common Sense Platform (CPS) was held with the participants to answer the question "What are the most fundamental needs/questions for the establishment of a Health Technology Assessment system in Turkey?" and solutions were discussed.
