Gaziantep Common Sense Platform®, the last regional workshop of the "Olive and Olive Oil Sector National Clustering Strategies Development Project" supported by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and carried out by TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, was hosted by Gaziantep Commodity Exchange on 20.11.2014.

Academics working on olive and olive oil from Gaziantep, Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Hatay, Antalya, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman and Karaman provinces and sector representatives from public, private and non-governmental organizations participated in the workshop moderated by TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE.

In the workshop where all segments working in the olive and olive oil sector met at the same tables, opinions on the current situation of the sector were expressed. After the current situation analysis study, in which the sector's strong and open areas for development and possible opportunities and threats were tried to be determined, a suggestion development study was carried out for the strengthening of the sector by using creative idea generation methods and techniques.

At the end of the study, the participants expressed their satisfaction in the evaluation questionnaire as "It was a good study. We hope to see the fruitful results together and wish such organizations to be permanent."
