Geothermal Resources Analysis Report Prepared by TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, Formed the Basics of the KOP Geothermal Applications Support Program

Within the scope of the Geothermal Resources Evaluation Project, which was carried out in cooperation with the Konya Plain Project Regional Development Administration (KOP RDA) and TÜBİTAK Turkey Industrial Management and Management Institute (TÜSSİDE), reports for the provinces of Aksaray, Karaman, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Konya, Nevşehir, Niğde and Yozgat were published. Geothermal resources were analyzed and technical and sectoral analyzes were examined in terms of their current use and potential. As a result of all analyses, project proposals and actions specific to the KOP Region were created.

Following the completion of all research, studies and analyzes carried out by TÜSSİDE in the provinces in question within the scope of the project, new investment proposals in the Geothermal Resources Evaluation Project, prepared for the more innovative, sustainable and value-added use of geothermal resources in the region, have started to be implemented.

A call program has been launched by the Konya Plain Project Regional Development Administration within the scope of the 'Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program' and 2021 Financial Support applications have started to be received for the 'Supporting Geothermal Applications' project.

Within the scope of the Geothermal Applications Support Program, 'expanding the use of geothermal resources in production processes', 'developing innovative applications for geothermal energy', 'using geothermal resources in reducing energy costs', 'hybrid in the use of geothermal resources' for Aksaray, Kırşehir, Konya, Nevşehir, Niğde and Yozgat provinces. Project proposals including 'dissemination of innovative systems' activities were prioritized by taking into account the action plans created by TÜSSİDE.
