Within the scope of DOKAP Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Project, DOKAP Regional Universities and Technology Transfer Offices OAP® Study was held on May 25, 2016 under the moderation of TÜSSİDE. The workshop, which was organized in Giresun to analyze the current situation of the regional universities as well as their R&D and innovation infrastructures, was attended by a large number of representatives from public, private sector and related NGOs, especially from the universities of the region.

The workshop started with the opening speech of Yusuf Mengi, Vice President of DOKAP, and after the project information presentation made by Oya Uysal on behalf of TÜSSİDE, the current situation analysis, prioritization and recommendation development studies of the Regional Universities and Technology Transfer Offices were carried out respectively. The data collected from this workshop, together with the data and information obtained from the field studies, will constitute an input to the report to be prepared to determine the potential of the regional universities for cooperation with industry, technology transfer and commercialization of knowledge.

Within the scope of the project, another workshop will be organized in the following months with the participation of university representatives and relevant stakeholders in the region for the evaluation of the industrial efficiency of the regional universities and the feasibility of establishing a regional technology transfer center.
