TÜSSİDE is at the Panel on Measuring Local Contribution in the IT Sector

TÜSSİDE Manager Tezer Battal and the Transportation and Logistics Management Research Group attended the "Measuring the Local Contribution in the IT Sector" Panel held in Teknopark Istanbul with the support of TÜSSİDE. Methods and techniques to be developed to measure the localization rate in the field of software and informatics were discussed in the panel. In the panel where universities, industry, public and non-governmental organizations took part, the experiences of different fields of expertise and what can be done in this field for Turkey were discussed.

The opening speeches of the panel were made by Teknopark Istanbul General Manager İsmail Arı and Hakan Altınay from Istanbul Chamber of Industry. In the "Software Sector General Evaluation and Domestic Contribution Rates" session, chaired by Tezer Battal, Cemil Sağıroğlu (TÜBİTAK - BİLGEM YTE), Assoc. Dr. Metin Çancı (Okan University), Abdül Halim Zaim (Istanbul Commerce University) and Mustafa Kayer (YASAD) took the floor as panelists.

The session titled "Domestic Contribution Measurement Methods" was attended by Prof. Dr. Metin Türkay presided. In this session, Ahmet Bilgen (FIT Solutions), Dr. Cüneyd Fırat (C-Tech), Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Ergen (MiSONE A.Ş.) and Hikmet Kangal (SSM) shared their opinions with the participants as panelists.
