In cooperation with TUBITAK Science and Society Department and TÜSSİDE, weekly summer science camps for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students started between June and September 2015.
The science camps organized at the Gebze campus of TUBITAK Turkish Industry and Management Institute (TÜSSİDE) aim to increase students' interest in basic sciences, to reveal how to use scientific methods in solving problems, to discover the exciting nature of science and to see the fun side of the world of science through interactive activities.
The participants of the first camp program between 26-29 June, which included science demonstrations, various workshops and fun science discoveries, were students from village schools in Mardin. At the closing program, students and volunteer teachers who participated in the camp with great interest and excitement received their certificates from Dr. Ahmet Uludağ, Head of the Department of Science and Society, and Tezer Battal, TÜSSSİDE Institute Director. Science camps will continue until September.
