Within the Scope of the Project, “Mediterranean Common Sense Platform®” was Held in Antalya
The "Study Project of Safe Shelters and Mooring Systems on Our Coasts", carried out jointly by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, General Directorate of Shipyards and Coastal Structures and TÜSSİDE, continues at full speed. After the 20 May Izmir and 4 June Bodrum workshops, the "Mediterranean Workshop" was held at Crowne Plaza Antalya on 16 June 2015.
A total of 28 people, including expert academics, private sector, public and non-governmental organization representatives, attended the workshop moderated by TÜSSİDE.
Within the scope of the workshop, sectoral evaluations were made with the "TUSSIDE Common Mind Platform®", the current situation regarding boat shelters and mooring systems in the Mediterranean region was tried to be revealed and solution suggestions were discussed.
Within the Scope of the Project, “South Aegean Common Mind Platform®” was Held in Bodrum
The "Study Project of Safe Shelters and Mooring Systems on Our Coasts", carried out jointly by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, General Directorate of Shipyards and Coastal Structures and TÜSSİDE, continues at full speed. Within the scope of the project, the last "South Aegean Common Mind Platform®" was held on 4 June 2015 at The Marmara Bodrum Hotel. A total of 42 people, including expert academicians, private sector, public and non-governmental organization representatives, attended the workshop moderated by TÜSSİDE. In the workshop, the current situation regarding boat shelters and mooring systems in the Southern Aegean Region was tried to be revealed. The strengths and weaknesses of the Southern Aegean Region in terms of boat shelters and mooring systems were discussed and possible opportunities and threats were pointed out.
“Izmir North Aegean Workshop” was Held within the Scope of the Project
The "North Aegean Workshop" was held on 20 May 2015 at RENAISSANCE IZMIR HOTEL within the scope of the "Study of Safe Shelters and Mooring Systems on Our Coasts Project" jointly carried out by TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE and the General Directorate of Shipyards and Coastal Structures of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. A total of 64 people from TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE project team and project consultants, UDHB project team, public, private sector, universities and various NGO representatives attended the said workshop.
In the first session of the workshop, the current situation regarding safe shelters was presented and participants' opinions on the subject were received. The criteria determined by the TÜSSİDE project team and enriched in the 1st focus group study of the project were reviewed. In the following sessions of the workshop, advantage and risk assessments were made, with priority given to our coasts. In the closing session of the workshop, all participants were given the right to speak one by one and their thoughts and suggestions about the ongoing project were evaluated from the perspective of their knowledge and experience.
