Within the scope of the protocol signed on 30.05.2016 with the cooperation of TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE and DOKAP, "Investigation of Agricultural Production and Agro-Industry Investment Potential of DOKAP Region" Project will investigate the agricultural industry investment potential in the provinces of the region (Artvin, Bayburt, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Samsun, Tokat, Trabzon, Ordu and Rize) and future strategies for the agricultural industry of the region will be determined.
The Project for Investigating the Investment Potential of Agricultural Production and Agro-Industry in the DOKAP Region consists of 4 main work packages: Inventory of Agricultural Production and Agro-Based Industry, Analysis of the Current Situation and Potential of Agricultural Production and Agro-Industry, Determination of Development and Investment Strategies, and Preparation of Clustering Roadmaps.
In order to realize the activities within the scope of the project, project teams were formed under the project management of TÜSSİDE, including the Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute (KTAE), private sector and university stakeholders. Meetings are held with the project teams in order to determine the current situation and potential of agricultural production and industry, to determine what needs to be done in order to utilize the potential, to analyze the current rural development support practices and to plan activities for the activation of these supports.
In the other stages of the 24-month project, domestic and foreign market analyses needed for the development of the agriculture-based industry will be carried out, promising products will be identified and the steps to be taken for the promotion of these products and research on these products will be determined. In the final phase of the project, the development and investment strategies of agricultural production and agriculture-based industry will be determined and a clustering road map will be prepared.
