Within the scope of the agreement signed between Kırklareli University and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE on November 2, 2020, Kırklareli University's Regional Development-Focused R&D Strategy and Road Map will be prepared.
The aim of the Regional Development Oriented Universities Project (YÖK) is for the universities selected for the project to prioritize the development of the region in which they are located. Universities within this scope will specialize in different fields. The field in which Kırklareli University will specialize has been determined as 'food'. In this direction, an R&D Strategy and Road Map will be created in cooperation with Kırklareli University and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, focusing on the university's food regional development focus.
The opening meeting of the project was held at Kırklareli University on 12 November 2020. At the opening meeting attended by Kırklareli University Food Engineering Department faculty members, Technology Transfer Office and Strategy Development Department representatives, TÜSSİDE project team Chief Researcher Barış ÇARIKCI and Specialist Researcher Seda CELEP made a presentation about the project plan, and then Kırklareli University Rector Prof. Dr. He visited Bülent ŞENGÖRÜR in his office. The first stakeholder meetings of the project were completed on the same day; The faculty members and staff of the Department of Food Engineering were evaluated on the food ecosystem of the province and their expectations and goals as a result of specialization studies.
