Within the scope of the "Analysis of Cooperation Processes in Red Meat Production and Processing Project" carried out in cooperation with TUBITAK Turkish Industry Transfer and Administration Institute (TÜSSİDE) and the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MoFAL), one-to-one interviews were held with red meat sector stakeholders (breeders, producers, academicians, representatives of public institutions and organizations, NGOs, etc.) within the scope of Erzurum province hinterland determined for the "Current Situation Analysis of the Red Meat Sector in the Region".
Seven provinces, namely Ağrı, Ardahan, Kars, Bingöl, Bingöl, Erzincan, Bayburt and Artvin, were included in the hinterland of Erzurum province, which was determined as a result of data examinations such as province and district-based animal presence, animal movements and slaughterhouse presence.
Within the scope of the field visit, 22 districts in Erzurum and 7 other provinces were visited and 66 one-to-one interviews were conducted.

Together with the interviews; it was aimed to reveal the problems that need to be solved in the red meat sector in Erzurum province and its hinterland, to determine which strengths can be utilized to overcome the problems and how competitive policies can be followed, to examine the current cooperation and strategy activities in this sector, and to shape the basis of red meat cooperation strategies and policies in the short-medium-long term.
