Advanced Technology Schools and Training Centers Project Launch Meeting Held

The signing ceremony of the 'Advanced Technology Schools Education Curriculum Creation and Implementation Project' to be carried out within İrfan Education Institutions in cooperation with İlim Yayma Foundation İrfan Education Institutions and TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE was held in Istanbul on April 26, 2018.

In the program attended by teachers and students of İrfan Schools and members of the Foundation for the Dissemination of Science and Technology, Ahmet Kerim NALBANT, General Director of the Foundation for the Dissemination of Science and Technology Irfan Schools, Tezer BATTAL, Director of TÜBİTAK- TÜSSİDE Institute, Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL, President of TÜBİTAK, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali ÇELİK, Deputy Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Yücel ÇELİKBİLEK, President of the Foundation for the Dissemination of Science and Technology, Bilal ERDOĞAN, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Dissemination of Science and Technology Irfan Schools, Vasil ŞAHİN, Governor of Istanbul, and İsmet YILMAZ, Minister of National Education. Bilal ERDOĞAN, Governor of Istanbul Vasip ŞAHİN and Minister of National Education İsmet YILMAZ made opening speeches respectively. In their opening speeches, they expressed their satisfaction with the targeted work and shared their wishes for success.

Ahmet Kerim NALBANT, General Director of İlim Yayma Foundation İrfan Schools, stated in his speech that the project will serve the construction of robots to be used in many fields from industry to the health sector with national and domestic facilities through advanced training. NALBANT also said that during the preparation of the training program, a total of 25 institutions in America, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East were comprehensively examined.

In his speech, Tezer BATTAL, Director of TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, stated that the work to be carried out in cooperation with İrfan Educational Institutions will contribute to the upbringing of our future generations with sustainable and effective methods required by the age with curricula suitable for the 4th Industrial Revolution paradigm, which focuses on 21st century skills.

In his speech, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL emphasized the importance of raising qualified people and producing qualified knowledge for our country and pointed out that it is very important that the training program, which will include topics from the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced mathematics and engineering, will also include modules that strengthen the creative side of students, develop their critical perspectives, transform their aesthetic and artistic aspects and increase their entrepreneurship-oriented leadership skills.

Within the scope of the Advanced Technology Schools Education Curriculum Creation and Implementation Project, studies such as training needs analysis, training of teachers and development of thematic curricula and contents related to the program will be carried out. In addition, there are also work steps such as monitoring the training program in line with the principle of continuous improvement, revising it when necessary, and measuring and evaluating its outputs.

After Minister of National Education İsmet YILMAZ, General Director of İlim Yayma Foundation İrfan Schools Ahmet Kerim NALBANT and TUBITAK TÜSSİDE Institute Director Tezer BATTAL signed the agreement, the guests expressed their wishes for the work to be beneficial and beneficial for our country and nation.
