TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, together with the Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration, is preparing action plans to increase the effectiveness of the geothermal resources of the Konya Plain Project provinces of Aksaray, Karaman, Konya, Niğde, Nevşehir, Yozgat, Kırıkkale and Kırşehir.

The project, signed on November 30, 2018, aims to increase the contribution of geothermal resources in the region to the economy and development of the region. Within the scope of the project, where current and possible applications in the fields of tourism, agriculture, industrial uses and energy are evaluated, feasibility studies on the resources in the region will be carried out as a result of current situation analyses, field research, expert interviews and technical analysis.

As the output of the project, investor guides that will provide a basis for the realization of the potential in the region and action plans targeting the development of the region will be prepared.
