The contract regarding the “Country Model Feasibility Study for Agricultural Information System Applications” was signed between TÜBİTAK TÜSİDE and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Information Technologies on 06.10.2022.
In our country with the studies to be carried out within the scope of the project;
- Providing accurate and reliable data at macro and micro level in the field of agriculture
- Recording the entire chain from seed to table
- Institutionalizing annual monitoring and evaluation studies
- Ensuring effective use of agricultural information system applications
is targeted. For these purposes, the strategy and roadmap of agricultural yield estimation, stock management and production planning mechanism specific to our country will be created; Observation stations will be analyzed with existing agricultural information system applications.
Studies to be carried out; It will be a project with high national impact by serving to create an intelligent decision support system that provides yield forecasting and risk management, to ensure the effective management of the agricultural sector, which consists of many components from animal registration system to food safety, and to disseminate digital agricultural practices. Agricultural production potential; Evaluating the macro-basin-based effects of global climate change, which has the potential to negatively affect in the short, medium and long term, is among the objectives of the project. In addition, this study will contribute to the determination of science and technology needs and policies in the field by providing important inputs to many national and international research and development studies.
