The vision of the Entrepreneurship Council, which was established to gather efforts to develop entrepreneurship in Turkey under one roof and ensure the creation and implementation of strategies, was introduced at the launch meeting on January 4, 2012.

Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Mr. The Council, which will carry out its activities under the chairmanship of Nihat ERGÜN, has integrated the tasks and targets it has undertaken for the development of entrepreneurship in the medium and long term with an "Entrepreneurship Council Manifesto".

In the manifesto of the Entrepreneurship Council; Providing a faster operation and an effective business environment for our country's entrepreneurs, the ideal of making Turkey one of the largest economic powers in the world, determining new strategies for an entrepreneur-friendly ecosystem, disseminating the entrepreneurship culture, facilitating access to information and financial resources for entrepreneur candidates, developing communication networks. , Supporting entrepreneurship in thematic areas such as eco-entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, innovative entrepreneurship, young entrepreneurship and women's entrepreneurship, directing entrepreneurs to export and ensuring that they gain international competitiveness in world markets, bringing communication, information, research and data collection environments on entrepreneurship to advanced standards. The importance of such goals was emphasized.

With the formation of the Entrepreneurship Council, integration is ensured among 32 organizations in line with entrepreneurship services and goals. The secretarial services of the Council will be provided by the KOSGEB Administration.

Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Mr. In his speech before the signing ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Council, Nihat ERGÜN stated that they made an important decision at the Supreme Council of Science and Technology on December 27, 2011 and said:

“We will now create entrepreneurial and innovative university indexes for universities and start measuring the performance of our universities in these areas. How many entrepreneurs and how many patents came out of the university? How many are licensed? How many have been commercialized for industry? These will be new criteria. "The Entrepreneurship Council established today will prepare actions to facilitate access to domestic and foreign financial resources and to develop alternative financial instruments such as venture capital funds and business angels in order to solve the financing of entrepreneurs."
