Within the scope of the Smart City, which is planned to be established from scratch in Esenler, the "Smart Cities Workshop with Domestic Technologies" was held on March 30, 2021, with the focus on domestic/national innovation, in cooperation with TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE and IoTxTR Internet of Things Community.

Opening speeches; It was made by Zekeriya ÇOŞTU, General Director of National Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, İsmail TÜZGEN, General Manager of Geographic Information Systems of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey, Aydın POLAT, Deputy Mayor of Esenler Municipality, and İsmail DOĞAN, Director of TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE. To the workshop; TÜSSİDE Project Team, Esenler Smart City Team, IoTxTR Internet of Things Community, local companies and academicians competent in the field of IoT participated.

In the workshop, which was held in two sessions, innovative companies developing local and national products/services in the field of smart cities and the ideas and initiatives of these companies were discussed, as well as which domestic technologies could be used in Smart City applications to be implemented in Esenler.
