On the second anniversary of the treacherous attempt carried out by FETO's domestic and international collaborators, which we as a nation were exposed to on July 15, 2016, we curse all the actors and supporters of this inhumane attempt. We wish God's mercy to our martyrs who defended the unity, independence and survival of our nation and state at the expense of their lives, and we express our gratitude and gratitude to our veterans and heroes.
This attempted uprising has once again shown to the world that our beloved Nation has no respect for its state, homeland, values, national will; It is in the perseverance, determination and strength to protect the unity, independence and survival of our nation and state at the expense of his life. Our nation, under the leadership of our President, gave the necessary response that night to this attempt, which had evil intentions far beyond a coup attempt.
TÜBİTAK, which directs its policies and activities with the aim of becoming a strong and leading country in every field, especially in science and technology, is working with all its strength to carry our country to this goal, being aware of its responsibility. As TÜBİTAK, we believe that there is nothing we cannot achieve when we join hands as a nation in every field, especially in science and technology. Just like the FETO coup attempt, when we stand shoulder to shoulder against all kinds of factors that will drag our country into darkness and conflict, and when we focus on projects and studies that will elevate our nation, our state, our country in fields such as science, technology, art and literature, when we come together for this purpose, there is nothing in our way. The power will not be able to stop. TÜBİTAK has worked with all its strength to prepare environments where science and technology will flourish for our youth, children and families, and will continue to work with greater enthusiasm from now on.
We are all aware of TÜBİTAK's flagship role in the field of science and technology. This situation clearly reveals the reason for the efforts of the treacherous terrorist organization FETO to infiltrate our institution. We would like to remind you that TÜBİTAK was one of the institutions that started the fight against FETO at the earliest and continued it most intensively. TÜBİTAK started its fight against this treacherous terrorist organization even before the coup attempt. Having been cleared of treacherous elements, the new TÜBİTAK leads our country's science, technology and innovation community with brand new projects and studies towards 2023 targets. We will strengthen the power of our country through science, technology and innovation, thus protecting the legacy of all our martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives for this sacred country.
