Field Meetings for the Analysis of Cooperation Processes in Red Meat Production and Processing Project have been Completed

Within the scope of the Erzurum province hinterland determined for the "Current Situation Analysis of the Red Meat Sector of the Region" within the scope of the "Cooperation Processes Analysis Project in Red Meat Production and Processing" carried out in cooperation with TÜBİTAK Turkish Industrial Management and Management Institute (TÜSSİDE) and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (GTHB) of the Republic of Turkey. One-on-one interviews were held with red meat industry stakeholders (growers, producers, academics, representatives of public institutions and organizations, NGOs, etc.).

7 provinces, namely Ağrı, Ardahan, Kars, Bingöl, Erzincan, Bayburt and Artvin, were included in the hinterland of Erzurum province, which was determined as a result of data analysis such as provincial and district-based animal presence, animal movements and slaughterhouse presence.

Within the scope of the field visit, 22 districts in Erzurum and 7 designated provinces were visited and 66 one-on-one interviews were held.

Along with the interviews; To reveal the problems that need to be solved in the red meat sector in Erzurum province and its hinterland, to determine how the problems can be overcome and competitive policies can be followed by taking advantage of which strengths, to examine the current cooperation and strategy activities regarding this sector, to determine the red meat cooperation strategies and policies in the short-medium-long term. It is aimed to shape the foundations.
