Within the scope of the protocol signed with the Beşiktaş District Director of National Education on December 10, 2019, Science and Technology programs were opened for 9th and 10th grade students from many different high schools, including Kabataş Boys' High School, Sabancı Anatolian High School, Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School, ITU Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Technology Camp was held.
The one-week residential camp program, designed to introduce high school students to developing technologies and to enable students to experience new product design and production by integrating engineering processes and new technologies with software, was met with interest by the students. The camp started with the question "What is innovation?" It continued to convey advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, internet of things, and robotics to students through educational applications. In the following days, the participants were divided into five working groups and each group was asked to present their work by taking part in the stages of determining the need for a problem they encountered, developing a solution, designing by integrating it with new technologies, creating a product prototype and improving it. During the process, students were given practical training in areas such as algorithmic thinking, electronic components and printed circuit applications, Ardunio, and 3D design, and the working groups were asked to shape their projects accordingly.
The Camp, which started with an introduction on Sunday, January 12, ended with the students presenting the projects they prepared in groups to the jury on Friday, January 17, and then with the closing ceremony. The camps are planned to continue throughout the year.
