Within the scope of the DOKAP Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Project, the DOKAP Regional Universities and Technology Transfer Offices OAP® Study was held on May 25, 2016, under the moderation of TÜSSİDE. Many representatives from regional universities, the public sector, the private sector and relevant NGOs attended the workshop held in Giresun to analyze the current situation of regional universities as well as their R&D and innovation infrastructures.

In the workshop, which started with the opening speech of DOKAP Vice President Yusuf Mengi, following the project information presentation made by Oya Uysal on behalf of TÜSSİDE, current situation analysis, prioritization and proposal development studies of Regional Universities and Technology Transfer Offices were carried out respectively. The data collected from this workshop, together with the data and information obtained from field studies, will form input to the report to be prepared to determine the potential of regional universities for collaborations with industry, technology transfer and commercialization of knowledge.

Within the scope of the project, another workshop will be held in the following months with the participation of university representatives and relevant stakeholders in the region to evaluate the industrial efficiency of regional universities and to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a regional technology transfer center.
