"Seed Sector National Strategy Development Project" was signed between TÜBİTAK Turkish Industrial Management and Management Institute (TÜSSİDE) and Turkish Seed Growers Association (TÜRKTOB) on 25 November 2015.

Speaking at the project opening meeting, TÜRKTOB President Yıldıray Gençer said that the Turkish Seed Association and its sub-unions, established with the Seed Law published in 2006, continue to provide great services to the Turkish seed industry.

TÜRKTOB President Gençer noted that the seed sector, which has been growing with great momentum in every field in recent years with the "Seed Sector National Strategy Development Project" to be carried out together with TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE, should now continue on its way with more effective strategies and policies: "With this project, with the perspective of innovation in the Turkish seed sector; "Production, productivity, exports and the competitiveness of our country will increase, and Turkey will become the leading country in its region," he said.

Then, the details of the practices, including the definition of the project, strategic management, analysis of the current situation, and the creation of the national strategy of the seed sector, were discussed.

Within the scope of the "Seed Sector National Strategy Development Project" signed by TÜRKTOB President Yıldıray Gençer and TÜSSİDE Manager Tezer Battal, workshops, in-depth interviews, surveys with stakeholders, modeling activities, domestic and international study visits, competitiveness and needs analyzes will be held for 15 months.

Once the "Seed Sector National Strategy" is finalized, it will be announced to all stakeholders and the public.
